Question for October week 3
What did your learn about what you need to do with your heart (and how you can do it) to be a better disciple of Christ?
I need to let my heart lead me in all I do and say. I know that Christ is always with me, but what I need to do is be with him! By doing that, I WILL become a better disciple of Jesus Christ!
I thought it was really cool how much God wants to be in our lives if we allow him and how much we need him and how much He'll help us if we let him into our heart!
Our hearts are pumping every second to distribute blood through us to keep us alive. I think that that's an example of what we should be doing with our hearts--pumping or sharing goodness with the world to allow it to survive and thrive. We must turn our hearts to help other people, and that's what makes the world go round.
I think Change is essential for life. When we open our hearts to change and become humble enough to submit to God's will, He can change our hearts for the better. Humility leads to transformation.
It's interesting to look at the cruciality of change for life even to survive. For example, the leaves in autumn need to change in order to support the life cycle of a tree.
Similarly, choosing to change our hearts to be humble will lead to greater change through the Lord which will helps us reach our ultamite goal of eternal life.
Change is a necessity of life and humility will lead to good changes. :)
To let Christ lead my heart because our hearts are the center of our body's and what are heart does affects the whole body! So that would be horrible if Satan was leading our hearts.
(This is Miriam) we need change! it's just a simple fact!
Okay pretend the caterpillar is us, and we are lost and our hearts aren't with God! So we need to change to be able to change we need to BELIEVE we can change. And we need to do the prep. work!
-We need to eat the leaves/ spiritual food! -We need to grow/ spiritually grow our testimony -We need to go in our pupa/ prepare for the change -We need to climb out of the pupa/ start our new life with our hearts changed!
And if our hearts our in the wrong place we won't be able to transform into our butterfly!
